16x20" - Oil on canvas. Buddy (lovingly known as Papa) was a very dear man to me. He was the grandfather to several of my friends since childhood, so I was trepidatious but honored when asked to paint his portrait. I was very close to him and loved him as my own grandfather. His arms were bruised in this picture from bruising in the hospital stays he endured before this picture was taken. He died nine days later. I will see him again one day.

These are the two stuffed animals that my daughters drug around with them everywhere for years, and still do. From the sandbox to the bathtub, from grandma's house to bed at night, and everywhere in between, so I decided to capture those memories with this piece.
