I must say Steve that my husband just happened to look over my shoulder as I was looking through your blog and he was gobsmacked! He (very unusually) asked to have a look through and followed on to say that you are the most talented he has seen! I then said 'Can you believe that someone with this talent would be following me?'
This loooks almost like photograph - Like Father Christmas???

Thanks so much, Sandra! Honestly, I amaze myself most of the time...seriously. This was my first attempt at a portrait as I have always felt inept to try and paint people. I love how he turned out. He was inspired by a homeless man that asked me for some money last week. Thanks again for you kind words!

Wow Steve!! Absolutely stunning! I can't believe this is your first attempt at a portrait. That just amazes me. You are obviously a natural at it. I hope you continue to paint more portraits and I can't wait to see them.

Thank you! Definately more portraits to come. I am so pleased with how this turned out (much better in person) that my mind blew up with new ideas.
