Hang Time

16x20" Oil/Canvas. I have been diligently working on building up a collection of pieces in hopes of taking the leap this year and actually start contacting galleries for possible representation. I am a complete rookie (atleast that's how I still feel), I'm fairly clueless as to the whole art gallery world, and I have never considered jumping into the gallery world until very recently. In fact, 2 weeks ago my wife and I made our first visits to a couple of local galleries, and that was my first time ever to even step foot in one. Wasn't nearly as intimidating as I had anticipated, and it actually boosted my confidence in my own abilities! Hopefully this will be my year to actually have my work hanging somewhere other than my own home, and who knows, perhaps I can sell something!! Ha! Am I alone in my trepidations?

Interesting perspective, and very nicely painted. Good luck with galleries. Just remember - the answer is always no if you don't ask. You have to get yourself out there and ask. :)

Oh Steve!! LOVE this painting...I don't think you'll have a problem with setting your paintings in any gallery!! My opinion...it would be an honor displaying your paintings!!! Good luck!

LOVE your talent! I am just starting out, too....don't have anything for sale to the public yet, either. I definitely think your art is worthy of a gallery setting!

Great job Steve. You should have no problem getting in a gallery.

If those spurs go any higher he'll find out how that horse feels!
